In news that must come as a relief to fans of From—which just ended its second season on a cliffhanger—the oddly named MGM+ series has been renewed for a third season.
From stars Harold Perrineau (Lost) and an ensemble cast of characters who find themselves trapped in a creepy town that doesn’t let people leave. Fittingly, the mysterious and puzzling tale is executive produced by two men with Lost credentials: showrunner Jeff Pinkner (who also worked on Alias and Fringe) and director Jack Bender. Creator John Griffin also wrote the recent Disney movie Crater and an episode of Jordan Peele’s Twilight Zone.
In the third season, a press release teases, “escape will become a tantalizing and very real possibility as the true nature of the town comes into focus, and the townspeople go on offense against the myriad horrors surrounding them.”
Along with Perrineau, the cast includes Catalina Sandino Moreno, Eion Bailey, Hannah Cheramy, Simon Webster, Ricky He, Chloe Van Landschoot, Corteon Moore, Pegah Ghafoori, David Alpay, Elizabeth Saunders, Elizabeth Moy, Avery Konrad, Scott McCord, Nathan D. Simmons, Kaelen Ohm, Angela Moore, A.J. Simmons, and Deborah Grover.
From will return next year.
